LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that the Indian forces have crossed all lines in Kashmir and that it must put an end to the atrocities against Kashmiris.
Referring to Sunday’s clashes between suspected militants and the police, which left six dead, including a university professor, Shehbaz paid homage to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri youth and the professor, while he also prayed for quick recovery of the wounded civilians.
The Punjab CM continued: “Not even teachers and students are secure from the Indian state-sponsored terrorism. India has crossed all limits, and it is time they put an end to the atrocities in Kashmir.”
Shehbaz said that the Indian forces, via the use of force, can not deprive the Kashmiris of their right to self-determination. He also urged the global community to “wake up” and counter Indian actions in the region.
The PML-N president continued that the party is standing alongside the people of Kashmir and will provide political, moral and diplomatic support to the people of the region.
